Poster by Timothy Karpinski at the Together Gallery
Aaron Edge and I have been good friends since we met in Portland in 2000. Since then we have worked on countless projects together and separatly. He designed both Rose City Fix and Rain City Fix. This photo was shot in a photobooth at Backspace after the Rose City Fix Book Release Party. Check out his bands Brothers of the Sonic Cloth and Requin.
— Firstly, Aaron and myself would like to thank all the folks that came out to support the whole event, the many generous sponsors, the racers, trixters, the Seattle crew who traveled down and team of helpers who kept the whole event running smoothly. We brought only a limited amount of the new Rose City Fix book to the event, if you got one without paying shipping that night... thank you. Internet ordering is now available here
We are planning on making this an anual event. So get stoked for next year.
.
Special thanks to both Patrick (Pedal Consumption) and Ryan (Go Means Go). Patrick organized and brought in TONS of gear, frames, wheel-sets and clothing from sponsors. Ryan organized the race and trick events and gave crucial advice that made a huge difference to the fun factor.

I grew up 13 miles outside Astoria, Oregon. Last week i went back home to hang out with my family and relax. Good times were had by all. Here are two photos of my home town.

The Bicycle Film Festival was in Portland this weekend. I was only able to catch the last program which was the Urban Bike Shorts but i saw some great short films. My favorite shorts were the
Empire Begins, BROADWAY BOMBER / BRIDGE BATTLE, and ANIMA D'ACCIAIO (SOUL OF STEEL): a very inspirtng documentary about the master frame builder Ciocc and his colaberation with Wonka and GOrilla bikes. If the BFF is going to your city you should go and see some films and get stoked on riding a bike.
Before BFF started on Saturday there was the Bike To Film Alley Cat. I worked the first stop at the Breeze Block Gallery in SE Portland. Each racer had to come in the gallery and have a headshot taken. It was the first stop on the race so all 25 racers crammed in within about 5 minutes; all scrambling and pushing to get in and back out on their bikes
